The sheep is still there. Here's a photo.

So I ended up taking the Boat to Belgium. Having spent a short while in Belgium I realised it wasn't that much fun, so turned towards Holland.

 

Holland is fun. The natives are friendly. Despite being quite a crowded country it's a relaxing place to be, and most of the Dutch towns are quite pleasant. I caught up with my friend Bruno who is busy with his new web shop www.e-d.nl  Spent a day cycling around Utrecht and a night out in Amsterdam.

 

Returned via my brother's place. Spent a week camped out in his back garden in rural Normandie.

 

There are two really good things about going on holiday alone: You can do what you like when you like, and you can think about stuff without being disturbed.

 

Incidentally I managed to drive from Ringwood to Amsterdam on one tank of petrol averaging 60 miles to the gallon. I'm quite pleased with that. I wander how much more I would have used by flying.

I came home this evening to find a ceramic sheep about the size of a rabbit on the front step. I've no idea where it came from, or why it's there.

 

I think I'll leave it there in case somebody is looking for it. If your ceramic sheep is missing I may know its wherabouts.
