It's been a funny old holiday so far this year. I've no idea what I'm supposed to be doing or where I'm supposed to be going. In fact I have no plans whatsoever. This has resulted in the rather disturbing discovery that almost a week and a bit has passed with nothing happening.

 

Obviously I can't go for three and a bit weeks without doing anything, so I think I might wander off in the direction of Belgium. Not exciting, I know, but that's what happens when you don't plan ahead. Personally I blame myself for being too relaxed about the whole thing and having my mind on other stuff.

 

Here were the options:

 

Scotland - too far and always raining

Wales - always raining

Belgium - always raining

Somewhere else - should have planned ahead a bit more

 

I wanted to go somewhere with the car and the tent. That limited my options a bit, but I try not to fly very often. The westcountry is ok, but it's more of a few days off thing rather than 10 days and at this time of year it will be crawling with families, ugh.
