March 30 Which fruit is the funniest?March 13 PoliticsI've just decided about 5 minutes ago that all political parties are rubbish. To proove the point I've decided to set one up of my own. So here is the inaugural announcement for the People's Front of St Leonards.
We stand for exactly the same as all other political parties: freedom, control, democracy, power, low taxes, high public spending, free beer, a complete ban on beer, independence from Wales and Scotland, annexing Belgium and of course the mandatory wearing of clogs.
The biggest difference between this party and other parties is that this one really will be a party. To join you must fill in the application form and bring it along with a cheap bottle of wine and some finger buffet snacks. We have enough of those little sausage rolls at the moment, so please bring something else. Cheese and pineapple on cocktail sticks would be acceptable.
As party leader I'm currently searching for a shadow cabinet. the following positions are up for grabs: party chairperson, chief whip, chancellor, home secretary, foreign secretary, minister of defence, minister of health, minister of education, minister of arts, minister of transport, minister of social security. All party members may apply for any of these positions, or any others they fancy.
The party slogan is: The People's Front of St Leonards PARTY!
To join please fill in the comments below and arrange a time to exchange wine and snacks at the St Leonards Hotel, or the Little Chef if it's closed. March 12 WednesdayThis blog thing is becoming a habit. If it carries on like this I may have to start writing something that makes sense.
Been making plans to go on a day trip to France. Reckon it could be a laugh. The last time I went on a day trip I managed to stay for about 4 hours in Cherbourg. The boat timetables have changed and you have to do at least one crossing overnight now. You do get 12 hours ashore, but that kind of means you need to take a car and get a cabin at least one way.
Anyway I'm quite looking forward to it.
I managed to confuse somebody else with my prawn phobia today. No idea why, it's quite simple really. Imagine what it would be like if I was scared of something like scorpions, snakes or spiders. That really would be confusing.
Bought a Mamas and Papas album on itunes yesterday. Quite like their harmony singing. March 09 Pathetic spellingSorry about the pathetic spelling and grammar in the last post. Must stay awaaaaaakkkkkkeeeeee........ zzzzzz Band ContestWe won the third section in the West of england Championships. That means we will be promoted to the second section and get the chance to compete in the national finals in Harrogate again.
Things are look up. Shame it's such an effort. I'm totally worn out now. March 08 BlogRemembered to write on the blog 2 days running. Must be the first time ever.
I'm sorting stuff out this afternoon and then going to Torquay later on for a Brass Band contest. All exciting stuff. I could quite easily be persuaded to give up sorting stuff out and do something else instead. One of my cacti is in flower... Quite nice, doesn't happen often. Can't be bothered to take a photo, sorry.
Nothing else to say really. I'm a bit tired as I had to get up early. Might make something nice for lunch.
MusicI've recently discovered itunes. Quite like it.
Downloaded some the old albums I had on tape ages ago. it's quite nice to listen to some different music again. Ella Fitzgerald is great.
There's a brass band contest in Torquay this weekend. We're hoping to win the third section. I'll let you know how it goes... maybe.
